A recurring theme across my work will be to return a level of control to the "little people" even if this means wrestling control away from the elites and their elected shills, corrupted academics, and the not for profit industrial complex that are used to control the narrative, the judges, and society at large. They are abusing our institutions to relieve themselves of accountability. It's OK for them to be a part of the solution, but it's NOT OK for them to REPLACE US! We need AUTHENTIC representation and ongoing ability to impact issues that affect us. PLATFORMStop DSAStop Communism. Ending COPA aka the Community Opportunity to Purchase Act (paying respect to Theo Chino)The above image links to the WPIX news story about the passage of this bill. On the surface it looks good, but I totally stand against it and here’s why. Actually it gives Not for Profits priority purchasing rights for higher occupancy buildings, not the tenants. I stand for the principles of compassion and equity, but the horrible truth is that in reality the activist space is dominated by one set of millionaires fighting another set of millionaires, while the “little people’s” issues are NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED. In this case it is the developers vs. the bureaucrats. While I am not at ease about standing with REBNY against this law, the fact is that at least when the developers have the property the bureaucrats will sometimes hold them accountable. When the bureaucrats are running the show there is NO ACCOUNTABILITY.
I was at the counter rally and was proud to stand next to Steve Chan the NYS senator who represents the only Asian American Senate district in NY to speak out AGAINST the COPA housing law! Senator Chan rightfully pointed out the shortcomings at NYCHA which recently had the largest bust for corruption in US DOJ history America is built on the SEPARATION of powers. Merging together the entities that provide services with the same people that are supposed to provide enforcement and accountability? This is a recipe for disaster! It provably leads to widespread corruption, unsafe conditions and yes, even death. Falsification of lead testing at NYCHA ended with a girl with permanent brain damage. Gavin Cintron a 20 year old died due to poisoning leading to the resignation of CEO and chair Greg Russ. The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) was first named the worst landlord in 2018 by then-Public Advocate Letitia James. The title has been consistently awarded to NYCHA in subsequent years, including 2019 , 2020 , 2021 , 2022 , 2023 , and 2024. In 2025, NYCHA remains the worst public landlord, with 611,000 open work orders as of December 2024, representing a sharp increase from previous years. Riseboro is already the largest property owner in Bushwick (Check out this article by Influence watch to see the long history of corruption and nepotism surrounding Riseboro. Oh.. btw who is speaking at their annual gala? It’s the Attorney General Laetitia James! There will be NO MORE accountability for Riseboro!
The counter rally AGAINST COPA had a NYS senator and had MORE PEOPLE but the press pretended like it never happened. Steve Chan is a strong and consistent advocate and I was happy to show up with him to fight this government overreach and to work to protect my community from this ongoing corruption which is growing worse. The press has covered this issue only as a protest from the right. But there are people on the left who have protested this as well. A prime example is Theo Chino who is currently facing eviction proceedings after his building was sold to a Not for Profit via Third Party Transfer, which took out extensive loans on the building. Theo Chino has been continuously running for office and been engaged in activism to fight this issue which has been completely suppressed by the media.
Mamdani talked about taxing the rich. But who decides what "rich" is? There are many industries that one can choose to work on, but why should property owners be targeted? Some property owners are families that have invested their family wealth into a property or properties. When taxes increase on property owners this is reflected with increases in rent. Astoria and Long Island City are already zones of intense gentrification and rental rate increases. This will only increase as financial pressures incentivize landlords to pass on the cost of property taxes to tenants. This is just a form of wealth redistribution that penalizes those who chose to make the real estate industry their career.
Local Neighborhood IssuesEnd Congestion Pricing, free 59th st. bridge, and complete audit of MTA. Also will work to increase advertising revenue and will work with MTA labor to craft a contract that meets inflation adjustments for workers.Congestion Pricing is unnecessary and advertising revenue can fill the gaps. Providing competitive compensation for MTA workers helps attract better talent, and the lives of those working on our behalf should not be degraded.
Restore bus stops particularly for seniorsChanging bus routes and stops have negatively impacted seniors who struggle with new bus stops that require them to walk several blocks to get to the bus. I will work to help our seniors engage with the community.
Find solutions for the arguments over bike lanes. This is a controversial isssue in Astoria. It's hard to find the truth as lobbying groups have worked to manipulate numbers to serve their own interests. I recognize this as a neighborhood issue and will be following up on this. Stay tuned for updates regarding my position on this issue. I am currently investigating this topic.
Save Kaufmann Astoria StudiosKaufman Astoria Studios employs many locals and brings a large amount of prestige and money to the community. It is a historical landmark and lifts the value of the neighbborhood. If this large venue falls into disuse it would be a great tragedy for the community. Right now I am organizing to find solutions by contacting other studios to see if any buyer might buy on their own or cooperatively to preserve this neighborhood icon. Reduce permits necessary to do rehabilitation and construction work.Permits often cause severe delays hurting productivity. Reject casinos in NYCCasinos are sad... not inspiring. They are also used for money laundering. Not cool. They are hotbeds for prostitution and degeneracy and addiction. I know that there are many local unions who want the jobs that building a casino would provide, but any building could use their services. While a casino is not being planned in the borders of the district the impact of addiction and increased criminal activity will spill over into this district. No to degeneracy, no to addiction, and no to casinos. Drain the Swamp
During the mayoral debate when all the candidates said the FIRST PLACE they would visit was Israel... It made me uneasy. I have long called out the problems with AIPAC and although the Democrats are now making a big show of rejecting AIPAC the fact is that AIPAC has funded Democrats more than Republicans in every year of it's existence. We send so much money to Israel, but what about Korea which is on the same timeline of government interference as Israel? What about Namibia who are the victims of the 2nd reich? Why don't we care about these victims of genocide? Why is Grace Meng the top Asian American official in NYS funded by AIPAC at more than her next 40 donors combined? Why is AIPAC controlling Asian Ameircan activism and electeds? I will break Asian American activism free of this oppressive force.
Stop Deed theftWhat happens when someone old dies and they had no will? There is a whole machinery in place to execute the taking of everything they have, including their property. One of the most unfortunate consequences of this is deed theft. My most extreme and urgent case right now involves a woman named Kay Marie Pressley. Illegal eviction is already a crime and NYC has a whole cottage industry off of taking people' things.
100% transparency
While in office I will wear a bodycam and livestream feeds from my governmental offices so people can watch and record my activities throughout the day. I will try to livestream myself through the whole day and try to only use bathrooms that have been cleared on camera so I'm not meeting with people outside of work to make some shady deals. Instead of hiring outside investigators anyone can check the footage for themselves and see what I'm up to. Getting out of office will be a relief as I will be able to return to a private life. I will fight for bills to dramatically increase personal liability and damages for individuals and institutions failing to comply with Freedom of Information Act requests. Electeds serve the public and with a higher level of power comes a higher level of responsibility. Electeds get too comfortable sitting in positions where they are not accountable. I'm not running to be comfortable but to clean up the system. I'm gonna shine the light everywhere I go!
Support whistleblowers such as Steven Lee who is fighting to get his pension restored.Steven Lee is a police officer whose work in calling out corruption in the Flushing Police Department led to a reexamination of the Knapp Commission. He has been in contact with Serpico who endorsed Steven Lee in his race for office. Sign the petition to help him get his petition reinstated.
I joined Wolf-Pac when they first started up and I remain perturbed by Citizens United, but like so many causes on the left this organization became a way for grifters to ride on a popular cause and make a living off of it and hang out with celebrities and get free travel. In order to provoke a constitutional amendment you need 2/3rds of the states to sign on. Wolf PAC went down from 5 states supporting their resolution down to four. However Convention of States has 20 states that support their call for a constitutional convention. Much more effective and growing rather then shrinking. I've also participated with Move to Amend but they refuse to ask any questions of their founder and former leader Kaitlin Sopoci Belknapp who was involved with the People's Party and covering for the theft and sex assault of Nick Brana. I like the current leadersship, particularly Greg, but I deeply question if this organization is ready to really do what it takes to rip the guts out of the corrupt. So far? I doubt it. Convention of States is highly criticized by Common Cause another competitor in the fight against Citizens United. I have contacted Common Cause many times but they have never responded. Also their offices are in NYC's financial district and their board is filled with bourgeoise bureacrats who cannot be bothered to speak with the "little people." Although I respect Common Cause's lawsuit against NYS election machines, I cannot trust an out of touch organization run by and for a bunch of arrogant out of touch affluent academics, and refuse to put blind faith in their fear mongering campaign against Convention of States.
Reworking solutions for the homeless
Did you know that NYC spends almost 4 billion dollars on the homeless? A lot of money goes to pay buearacrats andd the executives at the not for profits often make more then the President of the United States. Many of the programs such as CITYFHEPS impose additional burdens on landlords such as inspections which can hold up the process off renting the unit and then also the city often does not pay the landlords sometimes for years on end. People fight to fund care for the homeless but the money is snatched up along the way by people who are not poor. Homeless people died this winter in NYC because the shelters are often violent and unsafe. Read this article by The City titled How Shelter Chaos Drives Many Homeless to Live on Streets and in Subways and tell me if you would willing live in those conditions? I refuse to stay in those conditions. The Not for Profit industrial complex picks winners and losers and under the cloak of compassion they create dangerous and unsafe conditions. For example four homeless men were killed in NYC Chinatown by another homeless man who had been sent from shelter to shelter due to violent and erratic behavior. Irresponsible management puts the lives of the homeless in danger. Most NYC shelters are run by Democrat party leaders (Christine C. Quinn is the President and Chief Executive Office of WIN (formerly Women in Need), the largest provider of shelter, social services, and supportive housing for homeless families in New York City. Under her leadership, WIN houses around 5,000 people each night, including thousands of children, and supports nearly 10% of homeless families in the city.) They use these shelters to get incredibly rich. You can't buy integrity and funding the system makes no difference when most of the money is stolen by those who have inserted themselves between the poor and the resources sent to help them.
The Right to Repair topics as discussed by Louis Rossman actually have wider implication as we are all moved to software as a service and now hardware increasingly becomes bundled with mandatory software. I will fight tech overreach and anti-consumer practices.
Education ReformSupport charter schools and school choiceOur children are taught the slope of a line and if that line is curved they learn calculus. This way they can maximize the slope off the line to assure maximum profitability. Look at the school lunches. It is very similar to food in the prison system. But the children are not taught how to be able to improve the quality of this food. They are taught to be helpless in the skills that are relevant to their own lives to feed an industry that has grown completely out of control. Our "education" system at a city level is our largest expenditure and consumes more money then our police, firefighters, and our prisons combined. At a state level "educational" expenses are a close second with regards to spending (the largest expense being Medicaid). Our educational system is outdated and funneling our children into a college system that creates a completely unecessary huge financial burden on them. Schools now teach students "for the test" not for the students benefit but for the teachers benefit. We spend so much on education and get such poor results. Students and Parents need an education that has been updated to meet todays challenges and which brings ACTUAL VALUE to graduates. Not the convenience of educators whose priority is often their paychecks over the actual welfare of our children. Students and parents trapped in situations with incompetent or incompatible educators need a way out. The state should not bare the responsibility for taking care of students who do not want to learn. Babysitting and education are two completely different functions and parents cannot offload the responsibility of child rearing upon the state without sacrificing quality of education. It is unfair for students who want to learn to be disrupted by those who do not. The pressure of the system to make accomodations for students who do not want to learn have led to falling standards and studies have shown that when students with different levels of commitment to learning are put together that the results are more negative then positive. Schools are for educating... not for babysitting. Without competition there has been a collapse of accountability and innovation. The money should follow the child. For educators that cry out about their jobs? They can open their own schools and prove the effectiveness and value of their education. It's time for parents and students to get much more engaged in picking and choosing quality schools that provide real value instead of an overpriced and outdated piece of paper. Education has become a scam and our children and society are paying the price!
The older generation pushed students to get an education, but the education we receive now is severely outdated and schools have been instruments that now extract wealth from our children and provide very little in return.
In the video below you can see that I have pursued for several years now a public meeting between myself, Kori Edens, the CUNY Chancellor and the Hunter College President. You can see that we have widespread support from numerouos NYC mayoral candidates and even US Presidential candidates. The establishment has been ignoring us for years! If you've been frustrated by abusive behavior by University administrators or other establsihment figures? I'll FIGHT FOR YOU ALL THE WAY!
CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM
Academics and affluent activists love to paint the picture of the "noble savage" but this romanticied fiction and bias leads to the victimization of the poor and the vulnerable. Lax enforcement, particularly of black on black crime and immigrant on immigrant crime is in this way given tacit approval. Only crimes that fit the narrative are published or acted upon. Violence against many vulnerable communities from all races go underreported in an effort to align reality with a politically biased narrative. Repeat violent and sexual offenders should be locked up to protect the community.
Vincent Moto, the first man freed on DNA evidence in Philladelphia, Pennsylvania has stated that Texas has the highest rate of executions in the country but they also have the highest exoneration rate in the country. While they WILL KLL YOU they are also the most honest when it comes to admitting that they did wrong. Beyond this they also are leaders in having the best compensation package for the wrongfully incarcerated offering $50K per year. Support an open and public reinvestigation as to the cases of Rev. Keith Gadson and Nolan Farell and Otis JohnsonIn the video above you can see that emails were sent to Zohran Mandani and his staff regarding the case of the longest wrongfully incarcerated man in NYS history. Mandani at the time was struggling with the black vote. Instead of actually helping us, despite knowing that I have helped out people in his organization, he chose to ignore me and the longest wrongfully incarcerated man in NYS history to work with the celebrities, and the gatekeepers. The video below contains information regarding Nolan Farrell and Reverend Keith Gadson whose cases I have been working on now for over five years. Nolan Farrell has a letter from the Queens DA's conviction integrity unit stating that the evidence used against him was faulty. However he has been denied exoneration because he has whistleblown on John Castellano. An assistant DA who was identified as part of the team that was respnsible for Nolan Farrell's wrongful incarceration. Reverend Keith Gadson was freed by the longest serving state senator in NYS history, Velemenette Montgomery.
In the video below from 3 years ago you can see me get together with activists from around the nation to discuss how locally we can prevent deaths such as happened to Tyre Nichols in Memphis Tennessee In the video below you can see me asking Mayor Adams to put more civilians on the "Civilian" Review Board. Like Steven Lee, who is supported by Serpico for whistle blowing on the NYPD says, "The police cannot police themselves." When cops do good they should be celebrated, but when they do bad they must be held accountable.
Health
Lead is a special kind of toxin. Lead has a tendency to get into the body and get "stuck" because the body has no mechanism for removing lead. Up to 21% of New York City residents, or roughly 1 in 5 people, may be drinking water that has passed through lead or possible lead service lines, according to a 2023 report analyzing DEP data. While the city's water source from upstate reservoirs is virtually lead-free, lead can enter the water through corroded pipes, solder, and fixtures in older buildings, particularly those built before 1961 when lead service lines were banned. Health risks include PERMANENT neurological damage in children and cardiovascular issues in adults, with experts emphasizing that there is no safe level of lead exposure. Recent analysis shows that 35% of home test kits submitted between 2014 and 2024 detected some lead, and 4.3% exceeded the federal action level, though the city remains compliant with federal regulations which allow up to 10% of sampled buildings to exceed the threshold The Bronx has a prograam where homeowners can replace their lead lines for free at a savings of approximately $15,000 each. I would expand this program statewide. Lead is a serious and dangerous environmental toxin, especially to our children and must be addressed immediately. You can order a free testing kit at the site below. https://www.nyc.gov/content/leadfree/pages/request-water-test-kit
Public HousingPromote Tenant Ownership at NYCHAI am one of the only activists with a history on working on the issue of Public Housing going back to the Obama era. I have organized with Tenant Association Presidents of NYCHA, met with the federal monitor, and even held a US presidential discussion panel on issues at NYCHA after the largest federal bust for corruption in DOJ history. Despite a long history of work in Public Housing activism, the fact of the matter is that the space is dominated by two competing interests both working to exploit the tenants and their rights. On one side you have the developers who want to take the property that the people in public housing are living in, and on the other side you have the bureacrats who want to keep control of the property themseslves while keeping the people living in public housing helpless and under their control forever. A lack of accountability and transparency at NYCA has made many rich but NYCHA has been regularly rated as the worst landlord in the city. They have falsely altered safety inspection reports leading to the death of children including Gavin Cintron whose death at Riis houses caused the resignation of CEO and Chair of NYCHA Greg Russ. What neither side wants the residents to know is that the residents have the right to own the homes themselves. Disabilities IssuesCo-navigator program for the deafblind (paying respect to Marc Safman)I support the allocation of state resources to help provide businesses with speech to text devices that will help them to do business with the deafblind. This will help businesses secure additional revenue and improve accessibility for the disabled.
Protecting workers
Honor pensions and medical plans for government workers and retirees.A promise is a promise and employees who dedicated their lives to a company or agency should get what was promised to them for their work.
Protecting the "little people"
Fair treatment for trans peoplesThere are many similarities to what has been going on to trans people and Asian Americans. For example the term LGBTQ+ is odd and redudant because Queer means Lesbian or Gay, but redundancy is in the abbreviations. Furthermore the terms Gay and Lesbian divide across gender lines which are a social construct according to their theory and therefore is self contradictory. Likewise the term "Asian" was not put in place due to outcry from the Oriental or East Asian diaspora in the US, but instead these terms were decided upon by affluent academics without community input. Now the term "AANHPI" is being introduced which inserts the term "Native Hawaiian" into the name AAPI which is redundant as Hawaii is an island in the pacific. When the elites want to release pressure, they redirect the frustrations of society to target politically weak groups. During the LA riots which are the largest domestic disturbance in US history the anger of blacks at the unfair treatment of Rodney King was redirected towards the Korean American community who never made black people slaves. The Korean Americans absorbed half of the billion dollars of damage and was completely abandoned by law enforcement and forced to defend themselves or face genocide. We chose survival. Nowadays instead of talking about the housing discrimination or job discrimination or gaining fair access to governmet services we talk about bathrooms and drag queen story hour. This is a redirected narrative cooked up by the leaderships of both parties and the corporate consultants who crossover between them with no friction. Just as a priest or a boy scout leader can be engaged in inappropriate activities with children, so can an event like "drag queen story hour." It is for each community to decide what programming is appropriate for their children and the content of such programming should be debated vigorously. I will always be a friend to trans people, and ALL people who are considered "subhuman" including MAGA! While the affluent socialists may think that they are "superior" due to surface level empathy, consistency and results matter. I do not support trans women's participation in traditional women's sports and suggest competitive leagues that allow all genders to participate. I have a background in medical science and the trans phenomenon is not as simple as many would like to believe. From Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome to Intersex people with chromosomal anomolies to the documented effects of birth order on sexuality there are factors that do not make it as simple as XX vs XY. I do feel like the community has a right to determine what iss the appropriate age for sexual education, and I agree that some of the sexual education books aimed at children go too far. Trans people face very difficult lives and as taxpayers and citizens they deserve fair treatment and access to government services. Their activism like the activism for war victims and the poor is largely subverted by affluent acadeics who are exploiting their cause for self benefit. Just as we cannot believe the media portrayal of MAGA we should not believe the media portrayal of others. I am proud to have the endorsement of the first trans mayoral candidate for the Mayorship of Memphis Tennesse. .
